Troop Dues

Dear Scouting Parents,

Dues for the 2026 - 2027 Scout year are now payable at $200 per Scout. Our fiscal year extends from October 1st, 2026, to September 30th, 2027. Dues are required as soon as possible in October.

As we previously announced, “because of the changes in the structure and management of national dues, we have decided to shift away from collecting a single dues payment in October that covered both national registration and the money needed to run the program at the Troop level". Same as last year, each family will now be responsible for paying their national registration directly through the my.scouting.org website. Each scouting family will receive notifications directly from the BSA when the annual registration payment is due.

Each family should receive their first email notice from BSA 60 days prior to when the annual registration payment is due.

The Troop dues payment of $200 per Scout can be made with Zelle using the designated email address treasurer@kingwoodtroop8.org to identify Troop 8 on the Zelle platform. Also, you can pay by check or cash. If paying by check, make the check to Troop 8, with your Scout’s name on the memo line of the check. There will be a collection box available at the Monday meetings.

Alternatively, if you prefer to pay by credit card, there will be a 3% credit card processing fee. You may pay in person at the Monday meeting or email me at danwills3@me.com. I will send you a secure link from Chase Bank requesting your payment and credit card information.
